I made this footstool
for my friend Catie. She was on a pink kick at the time and I tried to oblige
her one Christmas. Basically I took every shocking pink textural fabric I could
find and quilted them together for the cover. There are velvets, silks and patent
leather all in one piece which gave it a sort of quirky feel to it. it is great
to touch though.
The legs are basically upside down candleholders with silver paint screwed into
the plywood base. I used an antique button for the tufting and the flowers are
sculpey with nails driven through them and rhinestones pasted onto the heads.
